Community Is Our Middle Name

At Grace Community Church we strive to minister to our surrounding communities and the world, as commanded by Jesus in John 16. On this page you will find information on some of the various outreach programs and ministries at GCC.

If you have any questions regarding any of these or other related programs or have a desire to get involved, feel free to Contact Us

In June of 2013 we teamed up with Appalachian Ministries Inc. to volunteer, serve, bring much needed items for distribution, and most of all, minister to those in need  in the Kentucky region.

Food Pantry
Grace Community Church has provided an emergency food pantry to the Streator, IL area since 1997. The Portions ministry, which is made up of volunteer members from GCC, helps around 600 people monthly. Pantry hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00am to 11:00am. For assistance or information, call 815.672.7700. The food provided is a combination of government commodities along with food purchased by Grace Community Church. Listed below are organizations the Portions Mpantry1inistry works in conjunction with.

Nursing Home Ministry
Every Sunday afternoon GCC sends a team of volunteers to conduct outreach and services at area nursing homes as the beginning of a broader evangelistic outreach to local and surrounding communities.

Bus Ministry & Outreach
Every week, our dedicated team of volunteers visits neighborhoods and families right where they live.

Ministering...forging relationships...and meeting needs.

On Sunday mornings, our bus and van go out and bring people of all ages to church and deliver them home after the service with a prepared sack lunch.

In April 2009, 26 members of Grace Community Church spent time at Solid Rock Church in Nakuru, Kenya with Bishop Charles Irungu. Bishop Irungu has visited GCC a number of times and we have been a continuing supporter of the Nakuru Church and their work in the region. Members participated in a week-long conference for ministry which concluded with a two-day Safari. The complete Blog from the trip can be viewed here...
